Hey Kristie this is for you because you didn't get to see it so and it is a much better version than what Becca told you, but she did a great job too. I'll put pictures up this weekend when I go home :) So Andy finally proposed to me on Saturday, March 27th. I was shocked, to say the least. I wasn't expecting to see him that weekend so I was pretty excited too!!!. It all started earlier in the week when Andy told me his work was sending him to North Dakota for a few days (he works in the oil fields in Vernal so sometimes they get sent to other fields out of state). I was sad but he said he would hopefully be home to see me on Saturday because out of all randomness my roommate, Natalie, wanted to go home for the weekend (it turned out to be not so random after all). So on Friday when we were leaving Logan, Andy told me he was stuck in North Dakota and I wouldn't see him all weekend. I was very upset because I hadn't seen him for three weeks!! and I had been looking forward to it. So on Friday night one of our friend's wanted to go mini golfing so me and Sarah and Levi went with Becca, Bryon, Sean and Alisha. We went back to Becca's house to play games after that. Little did I know that Andy was in the very next room texting me.
Then on Saturday my mom kept telling me to clean my room and vacuum and stuff and I had no idea why (she actually ended up making my bed for me because I didn't want to lol). Also, Andy said he was driving home to Vernal from North Dakota and it would take all day. So we went to the general young women broadcast at 6:00 that night and everyone was supposed to come over after that for dessert. When we got home dad said the garage door broke so we had to use the front door. When I opened it there were roses all over the floor and they led up the stairs to my bedroom where they were all over my bed. There were also two roses on my bed an a big sunflower with a card on it (Sunflowers are my most favorite flower!!!) He left a cute little note and a clue for where I had to go next. The clue said it was game time with my favorite sister and brother-in-law. So mom and Sarah came with me and we had to drive to the Hidden Keep, a game store in West Jordan. Jess and Jeremy (and Alix, of course) were there waiting with another sunflower and clue. Jess and Jeremy love getting new games so it was very clever that they were waiting at a game store. The next clue said we were in for a long day of gardening with Jackie and Joe but I needed to get some tools first. So we headed over to Lowes in the gardening section. Aneti and Analei were hiding by some trees and I totally walked past and didn't see them. Sarah had to point them out for me ha ha :) I got two sunflowers and another clue that said Becca and Bryon are remodeling their house but we just need to help with the painting. They don't like Lowes so we went to Home Depot to the painting section. They couldn't remember where they were supposed to wait so they were actually in the gardening section as well (its a good thing that was right next to the paint ha ha :). I got another sunflower and a clue that said I need an interview to go to the temple but the church is closed this late at night so I would have to go somewhere else. We went to our bishop's house and I got a single red rose with another note from Andy that said he was still driving home so I should go home and get ready to see him.
So we went home and the whole family was there. I was going to go upstairs and put my flowers in my room, but I looked downstairs and I saw a ton of people (his family and some friends and Natalie) and then I saw Andy!!!!! I was so excited!!! He came upstairs and I just gave him the biggest hug ever!! :)
****I would like to note that the whole North Dakota thing was a big scam to throw me off the trail and it totally worked!! Andy was actually in Salt Lake on Friday and he was at Becca's house when we went over to play games. I didn't have the faintest idea. And my whole family and Natalie were in on it the entire time and I had absolutely no idea. Props to the good acting!!!****
Anyway, back to the story. After everyone came upstairs dad told me to give a speech and he put me on a bench so I was up real high. Then Andy pulled out a sack of presents for me. He gave me a crown because I am his princess. I got a bag of candy because he said I am so sweet to him. He also got me some little toys and a card game so we could have fun together when we're married. And he gave me a puzzle because life is a puzzle but together we can solve it (he is so so so sweet!!!!!). Then he pulled out a little white box and said "Kellie, will you marry me?" And I said yes!!! And then he had to ask again on his knee because I was still standing on the bench holding flowers and presents. So I got down and put my stuff down and Andy knelt down on one knee and put the most beautiful ring on my finger. And that was officially the happiest day of my life!!!! :)
I wish you could have been there!!! I can't wait to see you in June :)
Andy was so sneaky and he surprised me when we got home but I was very happy to see him :)
