The Green Bean

This the story of the green bean. Mckade was perfectly happy, smiling, waving his arms and waiting to be fed. So I made him some pureed green beans. Here was the first reaction:

He didn't like it and it took about 5 minutes for him to swallow.

He was so happy he was done with that bite that he actually smiled! So I gave him another big bite

He saw the spoon coming and stopped smiling.

Needless to say, he did not like that green bean puree. He let it sit in his mouth until it was watery nasty and leaked out, kind of like a certain uncle of his. He gagged and spit for a little while before he figured out that if he didn't open his mouth he didn't have to eat the stuff.

He did this for about ten minutes until I gave up and made him a bottle.
The End :)

Easter

We had a great Easter this year! We went to Park City because Tayden was getting the priesthood. We had a nice family dinner and got some cute pictures.

The Easter bunny managed to find us

Mckade next to his little basket. He got a new Sunday outfit, a picture of Christ with a baby, a church book that can be chewed on and a little tie.

And don't forget the binkies he found in his Easter eggs!! It was his favorite part :) His little bunny jammies are super cute too!!

Mckade in his Sunday Easter outfit. His shoes wouldn't stay on after the picture.

Family pictures at the church in Park City.

Pictures with Grandma Wheeler

I couldn't get him to smile, but we got close!!

He's Finally Here!!

Everett Mckade Wheeler was born on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2:11 AM (I thought it was 2:13, but I was wrong). He was 6 lb 14 oz and 20 inches long. He is doing great! I'm doing pretty good as well, but very sore. He decided he wanted to be born with his hand by his head and I tore just a bit (according to Andy it was like 2 inches long). Unfortunately my epidural stopped working just toward the end and the stitches were very painful to say the least :P. But we are home from the hospital now just trying to recover from the last couple of days!!

Getting his first diaper

First family photo. I wish I had time to straighten my hair!!

Proud daddy! Of course I cried when they gave me the baby for the first time, but I didn't know Andy was almost crying too until later. It was such a sweet, spiritual moment for us both!!

He loves to spit out his tongue

You can kind of see he has a little bit of brown fuzz. It is longer in the back by his neck.

Wednesday morning waiting for dad
Getting dressed to go home. His clothes are way too big for him!
He really likes his car seat. Too bad it's almost too big to fit in our car!!

Andy picked out his jammies last night. They're too big as well lol :)

I saved this picture for last because it is my favorite. This was on Tuesday night. Andy just loves to hold Mckade. He's going to be a daddy's boy for sure. They are just so precious together :) Andy just held him this morning for over an hour when he cried and wouldn't let me put the baby back to bed until his arm started falling asleep. It was so sweet!!
